If you would like to do this job when ordering parts ask you
parts department for service bulletin dated April 1995 titled Job
Instruction 85 49 347. This is bulletin will give you the step by
step procedure.
In 1992 Saab introduced Traction control on its turbo 9000
models. This system was on all the time and could not be switched
off. On the 1995 9000 the system was changed to incorporate a
switch to disengage the TCS. In 1995 Saab sent out instructions via
a technical bulletin on how to retrofit 1992 - 1994 cars to use the
switch. This can only be done to cars with 5 speed transmissions.
The automatic transmission version is much more involved.
Automatics use the TCS in the shifting of the transmission and
can't be turned off for that reason.
